Winter holiday
Look forward to a lovely winter holiday in South Tyrol.
Skiing
A total of 51 km of ski slopes and 16 lift facilities, including a cabin with glass floor, are waiting for you in the Ski and holiday area Gitschberg Jochtal.
A snow park, the Gitschberg Speed Track, two ski schools and the children parks of the ski schools complete the offer of the Gitschberg-Jochtal skiing area. New is the Wood Line, a kids area in the forest with wooden elements.
If the weather is fine, from the top of the Gitschberg you can enjoy a great view on more than 500 mountain peaks.
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country fans in Maranza will find two trails with a total length of 16 km.
The 8 km long trail “Altafossa” leads through the untouched landscape of the Altafossa valley.
The second trail is the trail Lobenweg to the hut Bacher.
Other superbly groomed cross-country skiing trails are located in the Valle d'Altafossa and on the Alpe di Rodengo.
Tobogganing
It does not always have to be skiing, what about an exciting toboggan ride?
From the parking lot Altafossa valley you walk to the hut Moser and from there you can getting back to the Altafossa valley on the wonderful natural toboggan run.
The toboggan run from the Valles high valley to Malga Fane is illuminated once a week for night-time rides and guarantees a great sledging adventure for young and old.
The Gitschberg natural slope winds its way through the woods as far as the valley station. And what’s nice about it is that the cableway will take you right to the starting point! It is possible to buy tickets for the cable car in the Skipass Office in Maranza.
Snowshoeing & ski touring
